Healing Touch is a relaxing energy therapy. Gentle touch assists in balancing energy flow that has been disrupted by stress, pain or illness. Healing Touch works with your energy field to support your natural ability to heal mind, body and spirit!
Healing Touch is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association. A Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP) is certified through Healing Touch International, Inc. HTI includes a research department and offers support with health care integration. All CHTPs complete a rigorous training and certification program and abide by a Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Look for the CHTP credentials to assure the highest standard.
I will assess your energy field and discuss findings and appropriate Healing Touch techniques.
During a Healing Touch session, you will remain fully clothed and typically lie down or sit comfortably in a chair while light touch is applied on or above the body. Sessions last approximately 60 minutes. Each session is unique and based upon your individual needs. There is a cumulative effect of Healing Touch therapy over time and regular sessions are recommended.
Healing Touch is used in a variety of settings including hospitals,long-term care facilities, private practices, hospices and spas. Today Healing Touch has spread internationally and is taught in universities, medical and nursing schools, and other settings.
Healing Touch is safe for all ages and works in harmony with standard medical care.
Although individual experiences will vary, Healing Touch research suggests that there are many benefits such as: reduces stress, calms anxiety/depression, decreases pain, strengthens the immune system, enhances recovery from surgery, eases acute and chronic conditions, creates a sense of well-being, supports cancer care and much more!
Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) is a holistic approach influencing the health and well-being of animals through energy and intention. HTA techniques restore harmony balance to the animal's energy system while providing physical, emotional, mental and instinctual stability. Stabilizing the energy system allows the natural regulation of the immune system which encourages the healing process and promotes well-being.
Healing Touch for Animals® uses energy medicine therapies–recognized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)–to integrate, balance and clear the energy body. HTA works by releasing endorphins to establish a deeper relaxation and state of being, allowing the body to function at a greater level. By allowing muscles to relax, circulation is increased, sending more oxygen, nutrients, and hormones into the body to support healing. HTA techniques work on all levels of the body: physical, mental, emotional and instinctual. These techniques allow the animals to come into a deeper instinctual presence and knowing of their body.
Understanding the way the body responds during energy medicine facilitation provides the fundamentals of how healing occurs.
Using energetic vocabulary, this chart explains the body’s physiological response during an energy medicine treatment. Following the chart in a clockwise direction, beginning with “Relaxes Body” and ending with “Regulates Immune System”, this chart demonstrates the body’s reactions during an energy healing session/treatment.
Upon meeting the animal, the HTA Practitioner assesses the animal's energy system. The HTA Practitioner then uses the appropriate HTA techniques (using touch or near-body touch) to clear, balance and energize the animal's energy system. Typically, the first response noticed is relaxation, which is the foundation for optimal health and well-being.
HTA techniques benefit our animals in many ways, such as: help animals understand appropriate behavior, build the animal-human bond, reduce stress and anxiety, support animals through injuries, illnesses, physical and emotional trauma and abuse, build a solid support system for cancer patients, develop confidence for training and competition, support animals during end-of-life transition and much more!
